Die storie van hasie en skilpad (wat ons altyd as kinders gehoor het), kom sommer by my op, as ek die aanhaling vir vandag lees…  Vir die van julle wat dit nie kan onthou nie, of sommer net ‘n refresher nodig het – enjoy! J  “One day a rabbit was boasting about how fast he could run. He was laughing at the turtle for being so slow. Much to the rabbit’s surprise, the turtle challenged him to a race. The rabbit thought this was a good joke and accepted the challenge. The fox was to be the umpire of the race. As the race began, the rabbit raced way ahead of the turtle, just like everyone thought. The rabbit got to the halfway point and could not see the turtle anywhere. He was hot and tired and decided to stop and take a short nap. Even if the turtle passed him, he would be able to race to the finish line ahead of him. All this time the turtle kept walking step by step by step. He never quit no matter how hot or tired he got. He just kept going.  However, the rabbit slept longer than he had thought and woke up. He could not see the turtle anywhere! He went at full-speed to the finish line but found the turtle there waiting for him…”

Hierdie is ‘n absolute voorbeeld van hoe mens dalk kan voel asof jy geen “progress” maak nie – dalk omdat jy te stadig beweeg, maar die feit dat jy aanhou beweeg, dalk teen ‘n stadige pas, is wat op die ou end vir jou die oorwinning gee!  Moet net nie gaan stilstaan nie…  Al voel die petrol in jou tenk is laag – moenie vaskyk in jou situasie of onmoontlike omstandighede nie…  Sit jou oë op God en plaas jou fokus op Hom!  Hy SAL vir jou die oorwinning of deurbraak gee – en dalk nie op die tyd wat jy dit wil hê nie – maar ALTYD wanneer jy dit nodig het…  Al is jy tans besig om “baby-steps” te gee – moenie WORRY nie!  Partykeer beweeg mens “agteruit” – wanneer jy probeer weg beweeg van iets wat nie reg vir jou is nie – die belangrikste is dat jy steeds beweeg…  God sal sorg dat jy koers wat jy inslaan, op die pad sal uitkom wat HY vir jou bestem het – wanneer jy Hom daarmee vertrou…  Hy is ALTYD by jou – in die donkerste nag, en moeilikste dag…  Hy stap voor jou om jou pad vir jou gelyk te maak, agter jou, om jou op te tel wanneer jy dalk mag val, onder jou om jou te dra waar jy nie verder kan nie, en bo jou, om jou die leiding te verskaf wat jy nodig het…  Plaas jou vertroue en hoop in God – Hy sal jou nie teleurstel nie…
