But somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you you're no good. And when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame, like a big shadow. Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. Dwight D Eisenhower het gesê:  “What counts is not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog…”  Iets wat altyd vir my soos die Nederlanders sê “erg grappig” is, is wanneer jy by ‘n vreemde huis aankom, en jy daardie borde sien:  “Pasop vir die hond” met ‘n foto van ‘n REUSE, vreesaanjaende hond, en wanneer jy dan gelukkig genoeg is om die hond te sien, dit ‘n klein hondjie is wat meer blaf as byt is J  Dawid het die moed gehad om vir Goliat aan te vat – nie omdat hy so goed was nie, maar omdat hy geweet het dat God so groot en goed was en omdat Hy geweet het dat God hom sou equip met wat hy nodig gehad het om Goliat te oorwin!

Ons word elke dag met uitdagings gekonfronteer wat partykeer mag voel soos wanneer ‘n alsation jou aanval…  Vreesaanjaend...  Onbeskryflik...  Seer...  En ek dink, baie keer – veral wanneer mens moeg is, is dit moeilik om aan te hou veg…  Aan te hou opstaan vir dit waarin jy glo…  Dis partykeer net makliker om te loop lê en dat die wêreld jou dan maar stoomroller met dit wat oor jou pad kom…  Hebreërs 11:1 – Om te glo, is om seker te wees van die dinge wat ons hoop, om oortuig te wees van die dinge wat ons nie sien nie…  Omdat ons GELOOF in God het en in Hom glo as ons Hemelse Verlosser, kan ons weet dat GEEN probleem, of situasie ooit groter sal wees as God nie…   As jy jou geloof in God plaas, en Hom ten volle in beheer stel van elke dag in jou lewe, sal HY vir jou daardie innerlike krag gee wat jy nodig het, om in ENIGE situasie staande te bly…  Al is jou teenstanders groter, sterker en baklei dalk vuil! – deur op jou knieë voor God te bly – sal Hy jou deurdra en jou staande hou…  Hy sal jou daardie veggees in jou binneste sit, sodat jy 100 keer sal opstaan as jy 99 keer val…  WEET DIT VANDAG!  Al voel jy dalk soos ‘n klein Jack Russel teen dit wat jy tans deurmaak en moet face – God sal aan jou die veggees van ‘n Alsation gee – as jy net jou hand in Syne plaas…  Hy sal jou nie teleurstel nie…
