Exodus 3:1-14

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.” When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.” “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”  Then he said, “I am the God of your father,[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.  The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.  So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”   And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you[b] will worship God on this mountain.”Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” God said to Moses, “I am who I am.[c] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” “

Hierdie wonderwerk se “teks” is vir my so ’n mooi geheelbeeld, dat ek dit nie korter gemaak het nie, maar die volle teks vir jou hier ingesit het, dat jy die wonderwerk in konteks kan lees en beleef…  God se stem…  Is dit iets wat jy nog daagliks hoor in jou lewe?  Of net somtyds?  Of eintlik glad nie??  God praat op verskillende wyses met verskillende mense…  As jy nou dink – ek’t nog nooit vir God hoor praat nie – wil ek vir jou sê dat jy verseker al het – jy het dit dalk net nie herken as die stem van God nie…  Om die stem van God te hoor, moet mens tyd maak om stil te word…  Ons gaan nie duidelik God se stem kan hoor wanneer ons aan die hardloop bly nie…  Die wêreld en ons daaglikse take is BESIG, bedrywig en “LOUD!”  Daar is so baie dae wat ek nie grond vat voordat ek in my bed neerval in die aand nie…  En baie keer is jy dan SO moeg, dat jy aan die slaap raak voordat jy kan stil word by God…  Dis hoekom dit belangrik is om vir jou tyd te maak vir Stiltetyd…  Wanneer ookal vir jou werk – sit vir jouself ’n halfuur uit wat jou kwaliteittyd met God is…  Of dit nou vroeg in die oggend is (ek vind dit die mees effektiefste), omdat die dag nog nie kans het om met jou weg te hardloop dan nie; of in jou middagete tyd; na aandete of voor jy gaan slaap…  Soos wat jy nie gaan weet wat in jou vriende se lewens aangaan as jy nie vir hulle tyd maak nie, so gaan jy ook nie met God kan “connect” en Sy stem hoor wanneer jy nie tyd vir Hom uitsit nie…  Hy sal op die eenvoudigste maniere met jou praat – deur Sy woord; deur mede-Christene; deur dinge in plek te laat val, en deure op die regte tye oop te maak en die verkeerdes toe te maak…  Partykeer sê God nee…  Ons verstaan nie altyd hoekom nie, maar God weet altyd beter…  God staan by jou hart se deur – reg om te “connect” met jou…  Sit tyd uit vir God!  Ons doen dit vir ons geliefdes, so kom ons doen dit vir God!  God sal jou kom vul met vrede in jou hart, en dinge in plek laat val, wanneer die tyd daarvoor reg is…  Partykeer moet ons deur diep water gaan, om “geshape” te word, vir die GROOT en WONDERLIKE dinge wat God in jou lewe wil doen…  Soos die boer die grond moet berei, en laat rus om uiteindelik ’n goeie oes te lewer, so berei en laat rus God jou lewe ook – ten einde SEËN in jou lewe te laat reën!

Terugvoer oor Nandi:

Dokters het besluit om nie te opereer nie, aangesien Nandi geen gevoel in haar bene het nie.  Dokters sal haar monitor, fyn dophou vir moontlike sensasie om terug te kom.  Kom ons bid saam, en vertrou dat God, wat die ultimate geneesheer is, vir Nandi weer gevoel in haar bene sal gee!! God is tot SOVEEL meer in staat as wat ons partykeer spreek!! Sy begin more met 'n rehabilitasieprogram.  Nandi het ook geen mediese fonds nie, so bid asseblief saam dat wanneer daar 'n fonds vir haar gestig word, mense hulle harte sal oopmaak en sal bydra om haar te kan help...
