“You cannot change what you will not confront…” ~ Pastor Matthew Hagee

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Een van my gunsteling aanhalings, wat ek in my eie lewe daagliks probeer toepas, is die anonieme ene wat sê...  “Jy kan nie nuwe resultate verwag as jy dieselfde resep en pad volg nie...”  As jy byvoorbeeld ‘n toets geskryf het wat jy nie deurgekom het nie, of ‘n resies gehardloop, of wedstryd gespeel het wat jy nie gewen het nie, kan jy nie op dieselfde manier voorberei as wat jy dit die eerste keer gedoen het nie...  As jy dit doen, sal jou resultaat heel waarskynlik dieselfde uitkoms hê...

Deur anders voor te berei, of situasies anders te hanteer of aan te pak, gaan verg dat jy ‘n “nuwe game plan” moet hê....  Keuses moet gemaak word, en die "band aid" moet partykeer afgeruk word - deur jouself te verwyder uit die situasie, sodat jy "nuut kan begin" en vir jouself nuwe hoop kan gun...  Veranderings moet aangebring word, om uiteindelik vir jou sukses te verseker...  Ons moet ophou terugkyk na wat was, en eerder kyk na wat voor ons lê...  Ons is partykeer so “set in our ways”, dat ons te bang is om nuwe dinge te probeer en aan te pak...  God is die beste “storie skrywer” in die heelal...  Hy het vir ELKEEN van ons, ‘n ander lewensstorie...  Hy weet presies wat moet wanneer gebeur, om vir ons die “ultimate” seën te gee!

Vir jou om die “ultimate” seën vir jou lewe te ontvang, gaan partykeer verg dat jy geleenthede moet aanpak wat na jou kant toe kom, al is dit heeltemal buite jou “comfort zone”...  Om partykeer te gaan waarheen Hy jou stuur, of net gehoorsaam te wees ten opsigte van Sy wil vir jou lewe...  Hy sal alle dinge ten goede vir jou laat meewerk, omdat Hy jou al uitgekies het, nog voordat jy gebore is...  Moenie bang wees vir die onbekende nie...  God = bekend.  Jy ken Hom, en as jy Hom dalk nog nie so goed ken nie, kan jy in Sy woord bevestiging kry dat Hy getroue, en lojale God is, wat nie wil hê dat Sy kinders moet seerkry, of swaarkry nie...  As ons dit in Sy woord lees, kan ons nie anders as om ons toekoms net in Sy hande te plaas nie...  Hy sal ALLES laat uitwerk, volgens Sy wil, en wat vir JOU die beste sal wees...  “Boul daai curveball vandag...”, pak sitausies weer aan, al het jy misluk en doen dit op so ‘n manier, dat MISLUKKING NIE ‘n opsie is, vir die 2e probeerslag nie...  “Tackle ook daardie dinge wat jou bangmaak...  Jy sal net aanhou bang wees, as jy nooit probeer om bo die situasie uit te styg  nie...  God sal in elk geval sorg, maak nie saak wat nie!  Numeri 6:24 – “Mag die Here jou seën en jou beskerm...  Mag die Here tot jou redding verskyn en jou genadig wees...  Mag die Here AL jou gebede verhoor, en aan jou Sy vrede gee...”
