Psalm 91

 

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,  my God, in whom I trust.”  Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.  He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;  his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.  A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand,   but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes  and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. Teleurstelling…  Dis iets wat NOOIT lekker is nie…  En ek is seker dat ELKEEN van ons dit al ervaar het…  Iets waaraan ek ALTYD vashou in tye van onsekerheid, moeilikheid of hartseer, is Psalm 91…  God het SOVEEL beloftes vir ons opgesluit in hierdie pragtige Psalm…  Dinge werk altyd uit op ‘n manier…  God laat dinge in plek val – sodra Sy tyd daarvoor reg is…  Joyce Meyer het gese - God sal ons nooit alleen laat in tye van teleurstelling nie…  Hy staan langs ons om ons trane af te vee wanneer dinge anders uitwerk as wat ons gehoop het…  Hy is reg om jou in Sy arms te neem, en te omvou met Sy liefde…  Hy sal stukkende harte heel maak, lewens sonder enige doel sal Hy weer op koers kry…  Omdat Hy jou Hemelse Pa is, tot soveel meer in staat is as wat ons kan hoop of dink, en jou ONEINDIG baie liefhet!

NIKS is te groot vir God se krag nie…  Ek dink dis baie keer ons onvermoë om te vertrou, en aan te hou bid en glo wat maak dat dinge nie wil uitwerk nie…  Of dat ons nie resultate kan sien nie…  God is konstant besig om agter die skerms te werk…  Die Europese winters is vir my ‘n baie goeie voorbeeld!  Dit raak al 4uur, half 5 donker, en eers 8uur, half 9 lig in die oggende…  Daar is so ‘n klein stukkie dag, dat die nag SUPER lank voel soms…  Met ons lewens, in moeilike tye, of tye van teleurstelling voel dit dieselfde…  Die sleg voel altyd vrek lank en die goeie, baie kort…  Waarin ons, ons troos kan vind is dat Jesus met elke tree wat ons gee saam met ons stap…  Wanneer ons teleurstelling en hartseer ervaar, breek Sy Vaderhart, en ek glo Hy ervaar dit saam met ons…  Maar, deur teleurstelling, EQUIP Hy jou om sterker te word, en ten einde ten volle te kan LEEF, en die goeie te ervaar wanneer dit kom!  Dit sal soveel beter wees as dit wat jy oorspronklik wou hê dat dit die teleurstelling wat jy moes deurmaak, sal oorskadu…  Jesus het jou baie lief! Ek besef elke dag net weer opnuut dat die lewe kort is en dat ons elke oomblik wat aan ons geskenk word, voluit moet leef!  Moenie spyt wees oor dinge wat jy nie gedoen het nie - laat jou lewensleuse wees:  "NO REGRETS..."
