Wat is God se wil vir jou lewe? Ek dink dis ‘n vraag waarmee ons baie
gekonfronteer word, en waarvoor ons nie altyd voel asof ons ‘n konkrete
antwoord het nie… As ons kyk na God se
woord, word Sy wil vir ons lewe vir ons baie eenvoudig uitgestippel in 1
Thessalonians 5:16-18: “Rejoice
always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is
God’s will for you in Christ Jesus…” God
se wil is dat ons GELUKKIG sal wees… Dat
ons altyd met DANKSEGGING ‘n nuwe dag tegemoet sal gaan, en voortdurend in
gesprek met God sal wees… Dat wanneer
die moeilike dinge van die lewe voor jou deur kom staan, dat jy sal onthou dat
“The joy of the Lord is my strength…”
Hierdie storie in Korintiërs was weer vir my opnuut ‘n
openbaarmaking van hoe ons moet lewe, en ‘n oë oopmaak van hoe ons somtyds
lewe… Baie keer bewerk ons die grond van
ons lewe, gee dit water, maar ons vergeet om die saadjie te plant wat moet
groei om aan ons ‘n lewe van oorvloed te gee…
Of ander kere plant ons die saadjie, maar ons kyk nie daarna nie… Ons gee nie die saadjie water nie, ons bewerk
nie die grond nie, en ons vertrou nie vir reën van seën van God op ons lewens
nie… Baie keer bid ons vir God om deure
van geleentheid oop te maak vir ons…
Maar ons glo nie dat Hy dit werklik vir ons sal voorsien nie… Soos oom Angus in Faith like potatoes, moet
jy “prepare for rain”… Selfs al is jy in
die middel van ‘n woestyn, en lyk dit HOOGS onwaarskynlik dat daar reën sal
val… Vir God is NIKS, maar NIKS
onmoontlik nie… Die berg wat jy tans
face, sal jy kan uitklim deur treetjie vir treetjie te gee… Kyk en fokus op jou volgende “obstacle” en
moenie probeer vooruitdink na die toppunt van die berg wat oorkom moet word
nie… Of dit ‘n stukkende hart is waarmee
jy sukkel, of werksomstandighede wat onbeheerbaar is, eksamens wat jy oor
bekommerd is, siekte wat ongeneeslik is, verhoudings wat verbrokkel het – Jesus
is groter… Jesus kan genesing bring,
daar waar dit juis op die onmoontlikste lyk…
Jesus kan nuwe geleenthede skep, waar daar slegs doodloopstrate is… Jesus kan!!
Al wat Hy vra is dat jy Hom sal vertrou daarvoor! Hy.SAL.SORG!
